Douglas Barr is an American actor, writer, and director. He was born on May 1, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Barr is best known for his role as Howie Munson on the television series "The Fall Guy" which aired from 1981 to 1986.
In addition to his acting career, Barr has also directed and produced several television shows including "The Hogan Family" and "Designing Women". He has also appeared in numerous TV movies and guest starred on various popular TV shows such as "The Love Boat" and "Fantasy Island".
Barr has also written and directed several independent films and has won awards for his work behind the camera. He continues to work in the entertainment industry, both in front of and behind the camera.
